Wouldn’t it be nice to get on a call with prospects who eagerly wants to find out how they can work with you?
No more jumping through hoops trying to convince them to work with you?
When they say, “I can’t believe I’m actually talking to you,” do you think that call is going to be a good one?
In this video I share a strategy that I discovered 2 years ago that is helping me, my clients and my companies get prospects that are pre-motivated, pre-qualified and pre-disposed to doing business with us.
I call this marketing strategy the Two Audience Theory.
You are probably already building your first audience: the ones in your target market who are likely to become clients, but…
You’re unlikely to be working on attracting your second audience: the broad spectrum audience who are unlikely to ever give you money.
“What?! Hold up. Are you out of your mind? Why would I spend time and money building an audience that won’t give me an ROI?”
I’m glad you asked.
The second audience is the one that provides the social proof that you are more than an expert — you’re an authority.
Maybe even a bit of a celebrity in your market.
The reason we should build our second audience is to have access to opportunities that can only come from being known to a broader audience.
Think about Gary Vaynerchuk’s shoe deal with K-Swiss. Do you think that deal would have ever happened if the only content he ever put out was around marketing?
Sure, he might drive a few million dollars in revenue to Vaynermedia, his digital marketing agency, but Vaynermedia wouldn’t be as attractive to Fortune 500 companies if he didn’t have a massive audience of consumers following him.
That broad spectrum audience that follows Garyvee proves to Fortune 500 companies that he knows how to get consumers to pay attention to a message.
I’m not saying your second audience is going to turn you into Garyvee.
What I’m saying is that there are far more opportunities inside your target market that are unreachable unless you grow your authority to celebrity status (at least Internet famous).
I don’t want you to take me word for it.
I want you to start looking at agencies that are building a second audience to see how that is growing their businesses faster than the old school “pick a niche” way of building an agency.
