How to Start a Personal Brand

How to Start a Personal Brand

►Q: How do I build a personal brand without direction?

The important thing about “document don’t create” is that you can’t be fronting to everybody when you’re sharing your life. If you are “faking it until you make it” you will lose. Show your real life and the things you are going through that day, week and month, it will resonate with people and that will help build awareness about you.

  13. I really enjoy Gary's message, still documenting the process of a student like in my case It's a monotone most of the time uninteresting content, guess I could put out things that are interesting to me adding my two cents on top of it. Are there any students watching this ? Love to hear your opinion

  21. The quote "too many people want to be the noun without doing the verb" was one of the best quotes I've heard in a long time.

  23. Iam starting an publishing company and get books written and cover made then publish on Amazon.
Do someone have some idea how I can make a personal brand for that?
Iam writing my self and always spend time on internet reading history and information about stuff mostly tech or science stuff.

  25. "I know it looks bad now, but it's gonna get unbelievable." I'm just starting off with my own channel right now, but I know I'm constantly learning and improving, and I can't wait to look back to see the whole journey when it does pay off. I'm a bit late, but thanks for the vid Gary!

  26. 4am here, just launched my first Vlog today. I love to do lots of stuff like music, photography, films, writing and tech, but I have NO idea where my journey is taking me.

What Gary's videos have shown me is that it doesn't really matter where I'm gonna go, but that I enjoy the journey, which I'm totally starting to do!

Thank you, Gary! See ya at the top in 10+ years 😉

  27. I love that I immediately remembered that awhile back Gary had Sara Dietschy on and she stated she spent years making video and documenting so she would have a “portfolio” of her work when she finally got “recognition”. She knew to document the grind and grit so there was no “Faking It till she Made it” there was just her history of work. The real deal.
I have been a serial entrepreneur and have had many small scale, small town businesses that I loved but were so easy to me… (home parties with jewelry etc~think Avon Lady…home organizer, makeup and beauty home parties aaaaand a few more) all around helping people be their best…Each one I made some quick and nice chunks of change but none truly sparked me because it was all stuff that was not challenging to me~ very easy and enjoyable. Fast forward to the last year where I am doing online classes and learning a whole new game… Challenging myself to learn new skills and stay current with technology etc….I just realized I need to be documenting and embracing this time of learning, failing and trying again so my journey is real … I need to not only open myself to the criticism but embrace it so I can look back and see where i went wrong and where I’m doing it right. Guess I’m gonna learn podcasting and blogging this week lmao!!
Thanks GaryVee for another subtle but quite obviously needed kick in the pants! Cheers and much love✌🏽🙏🏽❣️
